With the amount of artists, genres and music being flooded throughout New York
City its simple for one to over flow their library. The DJ game up to date goes beyond smooth transitions and BPM blending. Style is what separates toys from art. DJ Loud One a.k.a. Yip has always been an open-minded individual never discriminating sound and embracing all forms of music. He's Constantly contemplating ideas, mash-ups and remix’s with originality using strategy, story telling & conversation to bring it to his listeners. Already focused on a vision, he purchased his setup June of 2002 to begin what would lean him towards a lifestyle of culture, competition, networking, fans & sleep-LESS nights! Throughout the years from house parties to organization, fund raising, corporate, charity events even venues, radio, television, bars, lounges too night clubs, what has kept this man up and about is the passion in him that streams in his veins and through his heart. At the age of 14, Yip began promoting for local nightclubs working with promoters who now and days have successfully moved up in the game. Observing the experienced, he obtained 'networking skills' and had his foot in the door being able to associate with fellow DJ's, radio personality's, artists, celebrities and a range of promoters.
Forevermore promoting and keeping up to par with one's music is time consuming. Year's later he made a choice and decided to devote his time to music. At that point he worked closely with various known DJ's, which allowed him the opportunity to learn tips & tricks. While observing others he acquired bits and pieces only to convert it and apply it to his technique allowing him to remain authentic. Loud One's goals reach beyond a turntable and a crowd, he's business oriented mind and aggressive personality, overall genuine persona seeks to use his connections to make a difference, a "bang" he says, to help today’s youth in showing them that confidence, honesty & dedication gets you far. Born and raised in Jackson Heights Queens, New York (city that never sleeps) he was exposed to a state of diversity, always coming across something new and something to do. Running into different ethnicities and culture, listening to their music built his versatility. He says "The first mix-tape I ever bought was a reggae compilation, the first cd was 'La Bouche' and the first Hip-Hop cd's I ever got was 'The Fugees' & 'A Tribe Called Quest' I was all messed up stuffing all sorts of genres in my head! |
